Realtors typically start by proposing that you pay them a 6% sales commission to list and sell your home. From the commission amounts shown to the left, we will always offer a 2.5% commission split to the buyer's real estate agent. This maintains the "commission incentive" for the buyer's agent to want to show your home, but still saves you one-half percent. (Sad but true - some agents wouldn't show your home to "their" buyer if it pays them better to show and sell the buyer another house.)
